Agreement to Terms

By using Platen, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Platen Does

Platen processes custom book orders and generates production files based on the information and design files you provide.

Platen does not create or modify original artwork. It applies your existing designs to order specifications and outputs production files.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate order details and specifications
• Uploading design files you have the right to use
• Reviewing production files before sending them to print (optional but recommended)
• Maintaining the security of your account
• Using Platen in compliance with applicable laws

File Storage

Completed order files are stored for 30 days after delivery.

After 30 days, completed files may be deleted unless you choose optional long-term storage.

You are responsible for downloading and storing your files during the storage period.

Design files uploaded to Platen remain available for reuse unless you remove them.

Pricing and Payment

Platen charges per order processed. Current pricing is available on the pricing page.

You will be billed for orders you submit for processing.

You may cancel your account at any time. There are no long-term contracts.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your designs and order data.

By using Platen, you grant us a limited permission to process your files solely for the purpose of generating production files and delivering the service.

Platen does not claim ownership of your content.

Limitation of Liability

Platen generates production files based on the information you provide.

You are responsible for verifying files before printing and fulfillment.

Platen is not liable for printing errors, buyer disputes, or issues resulting from inaccurate or incomplete order information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platen's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Account Termination

You may close your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable laws.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or within the service.
